I spent over fifteen minutes typing up a statement for this image...but I hit the wrong key and lost it all. (bashes head against computer)
So in a nutshell:
This is Gamma, she's one of my BLoSC characters, she's Warp's cousin, and she would kill me for drawing her in that outfit.
...I'll tell you guys more about her when my anger dissipates.
EDIT: Okay, I feel better now.
I originally conceived of Gamma as an elite member of her home planet's military, who was funloving, great with technology, a top agent, tough, smart, and generally good-natured...in short, a female version of Warp Darkmatter.
That has since changed... a lot. I've toned down her Mary-Sue-ish qualities, for one. She's still Warp's cousin, but they've been at odds ever since she discovered that he was a Zurg agent and a traitor. She's no longer a four-star general, but a lowly (yet hard-working and talented) detective. She's a good fighter, still good with guns and other technology, but she did once cause massive collateral damage while taking down a criminal...which ended up accidentally killing two civilians.
Because of this, Gamma is at times self-hating and depressed, and she is not nearly as cocky as she was before the incident. She keeps to herself as much as she can, and while she's quite smart, she is irrational at times, letting her emotions rule her.
She's also (please don't be offended by this, guys) a lesbian, although she doesn't admit this or act on it. She's in denial, basically. In the trilogy of fanfics I keep talking about writing, I do pair her with my character Kati'im, but their relationship will not get much screentime, and you certainly won't be seeing anything, um, sexual, but there may be a few kisses and some heartfelt talks. I personally have no problem with homosexuality, but I know that some people would disagree with me on that, so I won't cram it down your throats.
As for the pic itself, I finished it on, let's see, January 2nd of this year, and I can happily say that I notice some improvement between then and now! At the time, I was really proud of her torso, so I made sure to, well, show it off. Gamma would not be caught dead in such a skimpy outfit, unless she needed it to be undercover.
Yeah, she's a big girl, which is different than all the other ladies I draw. I tried to make her look like a really buff Queen Latifah, body-wise: you know, killer curves and toned abs, arms, and legs. (Queen Latifah, by the way, is someone I have always considered very beautiful, and her voice is how I imagine Gamma sounding) Yeah, big women can be gorgeous too!!
Hmm, it does look like I made her waist a bit on the thin side. I'll fix that in later drawings of Gamma.
...Should this be marked mature? I honestly can't decide.
No, not really. She's from a planet where women are really muscular, like the men. I wanted to make her a big girl, but one that was in really good shape.
I like blue too. Actually, all my BLoSC fancharacters are blue, now that I think about it. Guess I like that color more than I thought!
